MoleSense comes with an extensive online Help system that includes step-by-step instructions for using MoleSense, instructions for mounting your camera on the rail and for connecting the remote switch, a tutorial, and explanations of all the features of MoleSense. The tutorial does NOT require the use of the MoleSense hardware (camera rail and remote switch).
To access the Help system, after launching the software, click Help Topics on the Help menu (or, press F1 on the keyboard). The Help dialog box appears. Click the Contents tab.
It is recommended that you go through all the topics in the Introduction folder (see image below).
The demo version has a couple of restrictions:
- You cannot add or delete "camera calibrations." (When you perform a calibration, you let MoleSense know the field of view of your camera. MoleSense uses this information to plot a ruler on images and to calculate the size of moles.) The demo version, however, comes with a sample calibration that you can use.
- The "Remote Switch" command is disabled. (When you buy MoleSense you can order an electronic switch (hardware) which allows you to take pictures with your webcam by clicking the switch.)After you have learned how to use MoleSense, if you run into problems go through the Troubleshooting folder in the Help dialog box.
