Ordering a UV Filter Holder
When you order a UV Filter Holder, you get the following items:
A Filter Holder. There are seven mounting holes, 1" apart. A camera can be positioned up to 7" away from the filter.
A small screw/knob (for mounting the Filter Holder on a camera).
A large screw/knob (for using the Filter Holder with the MoleSense™ rail).
Two magnets (self-adhesive) to attach filters to the Filter Holder. Attach a magnet at the corner of a rectangular filter using the adhesive. The filter can then be firmly attached to the Filter Holder, using the magnet.

- Has to be tripod mountable: the camera has to have a standard 1/4”-20 thread at the bottom. The Filter Holder uses the same technique as a standard tripod to mount your camera.
- UV pictures can be acquired with either digital or film cameras. However, most cameras are not suitable for UV photography. You need to check whether your specific camera is capable of taking UV pictures.
- Shape: Rectangular.
- Size: 45x45mm or larger.
- Thickness: Any.
